“It’s  not as easy as you thought to study and live in Taiwan, there’re lots of things you have to do by yourself. Although the same language is spoken, what you feel is a totally different culture. You need to ask strangers lots of questions, deal with lots of emergencies, and build up your own network in a brand new environment. Don’t imagine Taiwan to be a heaven, though it’s nice indeed. After all, my true love goes to Mainland China.”  This is the honest words of Chen Yuanyuan, exchange students to Taiwan from College of Foreign Languages.

The city of Bath is so beautiful, and the school is built in typical European style. The teachers are very friendly, and the courses are conducted by group discussion, presentation and group demonstration, which is helpful to improve my English language skills and comprehensive abilities. Ill try my best to study here! Said by Wang Yinan, exchange students to U.K. from College of Management and Social Development.

Nearly a hundred of our students have successfully arrived and started with their exchange studies recently, whose destination include Northern Arizona University, University of Wisconsin, Coastal Carolina University, Bath-spa University, City College Plymouth, Catholics University of Korea, Chinese Culture University, National IIan University, Ming Chuan University, Ling Tung University, etc.

Those students this year come from College of Business, College of Management and Social Development, College of Education, College of Humanities, College of Physical Education, College of Foreign Languages, College of Information Engineering, College of Engineering, Qiuzhen College, etc.  With this great opportunity, they demonstrate their enthusiasm in experiencing different education mode and culture, which will in turn widen their knowledge and display the charm of Huzhou University.

The Foreign Affairs Office and Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao Office held pre-departure briefing sessions earlier, introducing relevant regulations and rules that shall be followed during their studies abroad. Proper guidance regarding living habits, campus provisions , daily etiquette, personal and property safety, political stands and others were also given by the session, which will ensure a smooth and successful journey.

According to statistics, internationalization in our university has achieved encouraging results especially in external student programs. For instance, Sino-American CHEPD 1+2+1 Program Under CCIEE, Ministry of Education has started successfully with our students going to U.S. for double Bachelors degree; over 50 students in total went to universities  in U.K; cooperation channels with universities in Taiwan have also been broadened since the first batch of exchange students to Taiwan in February, 2013, now in collaboration with 7 universities in Taiwan and sent 146 students to Taiwan already.

Student programs to universities abroad have boosted the cooperation between our university and universities across the world, through which mutual understandings and friendship between our students and oversea students will also be achieved. It is not only a milestone on the road of our internalization, but also a mark of recognition for our university.
